About us

I am Tanja Stevens. In my role as the official Chapter Leader of the Weston A. Price Foundation for the Netherlands, I aim to make the knowledge of Weston A. Price accessible once again.

I provide information on traditional nutrition, connect people with local producers, answer questions, and organize meetings and educational activities. This website is the central starting point for anyone looking for reliable information about the nutritional principles of Weston A. Price.

In my practice Gezond Gestel, I guide individuals who not only want to reduce their symptoms but, above all, want to understand the underlying cause. Using nutrition, lifestyle, and natural therapies, I help them work step-by-step toward sustainable recovery. More information about my practice can be found at www.gezondgestel.nl.

I had Westonprice.nl created to keep it up to date in an engaging way through knowledge blogs. I create these blogs together with various partners. They are usually mentioned per blog.

"My search for healthy nutrition began at a young age. For years, I immersed myself in different nutritional perspectives and tried them out myself, searching for what truly works. It was only when I discovered the work of Weston A. Price that all the puzzle pieces fell into place. In this video, I explain how that discovery changed my view on nutrition forever and why I still find his ideas so valuable today."

Conference 2027/2028

Conference 2027/2028 We are working on preparations for a Dutch conference in 2027 or 2028, inspired by the annual Wise Traditions Conference in the United States. An event where the nutritional principles of Weston A. Price are connected with Dutch and European food culture, local producers, science, and education.

Traditional fermented cod liver oil and butter oil are an important part of the Weston A. Price philosophy. They provide fat-soluble nutrients such as vitamins A and D, while butter oil from grass-fed cows is naturally rich in vitamin K2.

For people who do not eat these foods regularly, these products are a practical daily supplement.

Collaborating on a
new conference '27/'28

During the spring and summer of 2026, we are exploring the possibilities for a new conference on nutrition and healthy living. This is intended to take place in late 2027 or 2028.

The ideas of Weston A. Price will have their own place in this, but we are also open to other perspectives and insights.

We strive for a broadly supported conference that brings together nutritionists, producers, and consumers, inspiring them with clear, practical tools for nutrition and lifestyle.

About the Weston A. Price Foundation

The Weston A. Price Foundation (WAPF) is an international non-profit organization that has been dedicated to promoting traditional nutrition and a natural lifestyle since 1999.

www.westonaprice.org

The foundation builds on the research of dentist Dr. Weston A. Price. The WAPF combines historical knowledge with scientific publications and current research. The emphasis is on nutrient-dense, minimally processed foods, traditional preparation methods, and the preservation of food freedom.

The organization publishes the journal Wise Traditions, organizes annual international conferences, and supports local Chapters in dozens of countries.

Current themes

Currently, the Weston A. Price Foundation focuses on, among other things:

  • Food freedom and the protection of small-scale food producers.
  • Access to raw milk and traditionally produced foods.
  • Legislation such as the PRIME Act, which aims to make small-scale meat processing more accessible.
  • The health benefits of fermented foods for the gut microbiome.
  • Encouraging an ancestral way of eating as an alternative to modern diet trends.
  • Critical analysis of current health and nutritional developments, supported by scientific literature and historical nutritional knowledge.

The Weston A. Price Foundation has thousands of members worldwide and a large network of volunteers, health professionals, farmers, and local Chapters dedicated to making traditional, nutrient-dense food accessible.

Topics range from traditional nutrition, animal fats, organ meats, fermented foods, and gut health to regenerative agriculture, food freedom, herbalism, dental health, and the relationship between soil, food, and human health.

The central idea remains the same: health begins with nutrient-dense, well-prepared, traditional food and a food system in which farmers, families, and communities are given more freedom and responsibility.
